Stabilising the core involves your ability to stabilise your torso in coordination with key areas of shoulders and pelvis to create a base of support for efficient and effective limb movement.
The "Core" generally refers to the muscles associated with the pelvic floor, deep abdominals and deep spinal muscles in the back region. In addition to these key abdominal mucles, the muscles supporting movement around the pelvis and shoulders must be included to obtain complete core stability.
